Woodlands Neurological Rehabilitation Centre, York - Active Care Group
We delivered a full outdoor transformation for our client, Active Care Group, at Woodlands Neurological Rehabilitation Centre. The project focused on creating a safer, more therapeutic environment to support residents’ rehabilitation and wellbeing.
We re-laid patio flags to improve wheelchair access, installed a textured sensory walkway to aid balance and engagement, and added a calming water feature. Brick planters were built and filled with aromatic herbs, enriching the space with both scent and colour.
We also fitted 110 metres of perimeter fencing and resurfaced the car park and access roads, with clear markings for disabled bays. The result is a secure, sensory-rich space that enhances the everyday experience for residents, staff, and visitors alike.
